concrete5 5.6.3.5 is now available! Version 5.6 has been stable for a very long time (the previous version, 5.6.3.4, was released nearly two years ago.) We're forging ahead with exciting updates in version 8, but 5.6 still contains some worthwhile fixes and improvements for legacy sites, including

  • Security improvements
  • Workflow improvements
  • Bug Fixes
  • Export Improvements

You can download concrete5 5.6.3.5 here >

This last one is a big one; if you have a legacy site and you'd like to migrate it to version 8, the first step is to upgrade it to version 5.6 so you can use the 5.6 legacy migration tool to export your sites. 5.6.3.5 fixes a lot of bugs with that process. You can get the full list of 5.6.3.5 fixes and changes here.

In more big news – version 8.2.0 is coming next week! We're very excited about this release. It's easiest our largest since 8.0 and one of our biggest ever. We've been using it in production for awhile, and it improves on 8.1 in many, many ways. There are new features, yes, but lots of stability improvements, multilingual bug fixes, performance improvements, and much, much more. We'll post more about that next week.
