Announcing Concrete CMS 9.4.4 Release

Happy to announce Concrete CMS 9.4.4 is now available! Some nice minor new features, including a new Logout Options Dashboard page that lets you control whether you see an interstitial when a user logs out, and some bug fixes (including the first in a a new initiative to not only fix new bugs but to close out longstanding bug reports.)

New Features

Logout Options Dashboard: The “Automated Logout” page has been renamed to “Logout Options” and now includes settings to control whether users see a confirmation message upon logout.

Exception Logging Enhancements: A new option has been added to log stack traces of uncaught exceptions via the Logging Settings Dashboard.

Behavioral Improvements

  • Edit Mode Timeout Prevention: Edit mode now stays active while changes are being made, reducing interruptions during long editing sessions.
  • Page List Block Optimization: Improved performance when handling large data sets and page permissions in the Page List block.
  • Hero Image Preloading: Images used in the Hero Image block now preload via a <link> tag, boosting performance scores in webmaster tools.
  • Workflow UI Enhancements: Composer form and page version panels now better indicate when a page version has been submitted to workflow.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed error when adding a Form via the Express Form block.
  • Fixed issue where Express Entry Detail Block did not return results in 9.4.3.
  • Addressed an issue with incorrect JS/CSS paths under certain server configurations and caching scenarios.
  • Updated HTTP client defaults and config values in config/app.php for better consistency.
  • Resolved display bug where the first click on a block highlighted it incorrectly in Chrome.
  • Eliminated PHP warnings in the Text Encoding service.
  • Fixed incorrect user filtering behavior when using similarly named groups.
  • Improved sitemap selector functionality for nested levels in the PageSelector class.
  • Corrected issues with multiple Social Links attributes on user profile pages.
  • Folder names now sort correctly in the Document Library.
  • Fixed numerous bugs in CIF XML attribute import/export.
  • Resolved JavaScript error in Express Search Form related to date/time attributes.
  • “Display in browser” option now works correctly in the Document Library.
  • Fixed LinkAbstractor::export to properly export concrete-picture elements.
  • Cleaned up multilingual comment formatting to avoid multiline i18n comments.
  • Fixed “undefined” text shown in confirmation modals when removing permissions in bulk via Page Search.
