We’re excited to share the latest update to Concrete CMS – version 9.4.7! This release includes several improvements and fixes that make using the CMS smoother, more secure, and more reliable—especially for non-technical users managing content day-to-day.

What’s New in 9.4.7

  • Better YouTube Embeds: We've improved the YouTube block so that videos display more reliably, even on stricter web servers.
  • Dashboard Enhancements: The Database Entities page now shows more complete information behind the scenes, helping advanced users and site maintainers better understand their data structures.

Fixes That Make a Difference

We’ve tackled a number of bugs that could affect your daily use of the CMS:

  • File attachments in conversations now look and behave correctly.
  • The loading indicator for conversations now appears properly.
  • The “close” (X) button on workflow pop-ups now shows in all themes—not just the default one.
  • Fixed a confusing issue where the “Subscribe” button in conversations could act like an “Unsubscribe” button.
  • Username validation on the profile edit screen works correctly again.
  • You can now successfully rename form blocks after adding them to a page.
  • Fixed an issue where certain interface elements didn’t load correctly in non-English languages.

Behind-the-Scenes Improvements

  • We’ve updated some of the system’s underlying tools to keep things running smoothly.
  • Better support for developers by including more detailed identifiers in the system’s API.

Security Updates

We take security seriously. In this release, we’ve:

  • Patched an issue in a widely used library (Symfony) that could have allowed limited access to protected areas. Read more .
  • Updated how SVG files are scanned to protect against a potential vulnerability. Details here .

We recommend updating your site to 9.4.7 to take advantage of these enhancements and ensure your site stays secure and up-to-date.
